Text Transcript:

Children deserve the best start in life.

Caring for children is important. Established in 1967, the ECE Program has steadily evolved and gained an excellent reputation throughout Canada.

Today, our program is based out of the School of Early Childhood at George Brown College, Ryerson Campus.

The Early Childhood Education Program employs a unique, highly regarded block placement approach. For prospective students interested in entering early childhood education, we offer a variety of program options:

  • Full two-year program
  • 16-month, fast-track program
  • Consecutive diploma/bachelor's degree, run in partnership with Ryerson University
  • One-year early childhood assistant's certificate
  • Con-ed option for part-time students
  • Advanced standing option
    • Enter directly into 2nd year
  • Post-diploma management certificate in Early Childhood Education
  • Pathways to "Pre-service Teacher Education Program"

This gives students start options and the flexibility to identify the program that suits them. At George Brown, by offering students a range of program options from the outset, you have the benefit of choice when it matters most when looking for employment. Our graduates enjoy an excellent reputation among employers and continually choose from a number of career alternatives. A 95 per cent plus placement rate means that most graduates readily find employment in the field of their choice.

With flexible course options, state-of-the-art facilities, and hands-on training delivered by a talented faculty, George Brown College helps cultivates the same potential and promise that we hope you'll nurture in children you'll be working with one day.
