Caring for children is important. Established in 1967, the ECE Program
has steadily evolved and gained an excellent reputation throughout Canada.
Today, our program is based out of the School of Early Childhood
at George Brown College, Ryerson Campus.
The Early Childhood Education Program employs a unique, highly regarded
block placement approach. For prospective students interested
in entering early childhood education, we offer a variety
of program options:
- Full
two-year program
- 16-month, fast-track program
- Consecutive
diploma/bachelor's degree, run in partnership with Ryerson University
- One-year
early childhood assistant's certificate
- Con-ed
option for part-time students
- Advanced standing option
- Enter directly into 2nd
year
- Post-diploma management
certificate in Early Childhood Education
- Pathways to "Pre-service
Teacher Education Program"
This gives students start options and the flexibility to identify the
program that suits them. At George Brown, by offering students a range
of program options from the outset, you have the benefit of choice when

of career alternatives. A 95 per cent plus placement rate means that
most graduates readily find employment in the field of their choice.
