The
School of Design has partnered with the Canadian Urban
Institute in this year's design
competition on the "Public Realm". Students competed in three
categories: a postcard series, general photography, and
camera ready prints. Exhibition was shown at the Realtime
Gallery from May 8 to May 31, 2004. [Read

As part of the development of the School of Design as
a centre of excellence within the College and the College's
new commitment to becoming an urban institute for advanced learning,
the RealtimeStudio
was founded on May 8, 2003.
A joint project of the School
of Design and the Architectural Literacy Forum, this
gallery space located in the high
traffic Distillery Visitor Centre in the Distillery
Heritage District is committed to showcasing
the work of School of Design students, alumni, and
partners from the design and creative community. The studio showcases
art, architecture, craft, design and digital media
and provides a venue
for networking, events and cultural happenings. Since
opening over 200,000 visitors
have viewed the exhibits which were organized by the
School of Design and its partners in the creative community.
