Instructions:

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

Students in the Dental Technology program are educated within the guidelines of the Dental Technologist's scope of practice. They are involved in the design, fabrication and alteration of dental prosthetic, restorative and orthodontic devices as prescribed by regulated dental practitioners. These devices include full dentures, partial dentures, crowns, bridges, implant-related restorations, orthodontic appliances and other specialty items. Dental Technologists are Regulated Health Professionals. This program is unique in Ontario.

The Pre-Health Science program prepares students to perform at a level that will assist them in gaining entry to a Health Sciences program at George Brown College, including Practical Nursing. It also gives students a basic understanding of social sciences and human relations. Other courses include applied math, communications and general education electives.

Dental Technologists practice in a dental laboratory and are also involved in the supervision of the dental laboratory operation.
