Dental Assisting Program (Levels I and II) (S113) 2014 - 2015 Certificate Full Time

With a graduate employment rate of over 90 per cent, the Dental Assisting program provides education leading to a career as a Certified Dental Assistant. The student develops the skills, technical knowledge and clinical experience necessary to work in a professional, ethical and collaborative manner in a variety of settings.

The Dental Assisting program provides education leading to a career as a Certified Dental Assistant. Students develop the skills, technical knowledge and clinical experience necessary to work in a professional, ethical and collaborative manner in a variety of settings.

Dental Hygiene Program (S124) (previously S112) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

The Dental Hygiene program prepares students to practice as primary oral health-care providers. The program focuses on developing interpersonal communication skills and professionalism while applying the dental hygiene process of care. Emphasis is placed on preparing the students to function effectively within a collaborative relationship including the client, the community and other health-care providers.

Dental Hygiene Program (S124) (previously S112) 2014 - 2015 Diploma Full Time

The Dental Hygiene program prepares students to practice as primary oral health-care providers. The program focuses on developing interpersonal communication skills and professionalism while applying the dental hygiene process of care. Emphasis is placed on preparing the students to function effectively within a collaborative relationship including the client, the community and other health-care providers.

Dental Technology Program (S100) 2014 - 2015 Diploma Full Time

Dental technologists make a major contribution to the practice of dentistry. These dental workers fabricate all the various appliances used by dentists in the treatment of patients. Dental technologists fabricate orthodontic appliances, full dentures, partial dentures, crowns and bridges from a dentist’s prescription. The technologist may also produce specialty items such as surgical splints and sports mouthguards, as well as implant-related restorations.

Dental Technology Program (S100) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

Dental Technologists make a major contribution to the practice of dentistry. They are involved in the design, fabrication and alteration of dental prosthetic, restorative and orthodontic devices as prescribed by the regulated dental practitioner. These devices include full dentures, partial dentures, crowns, bridges, implant related restorations, orthodontic appliances and other specialty items. Dental Technologists practice in a dental laboratory and are also involved in the supervision of the dental laboratory operation.

Denturism Program (S101) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

Students in the Denturism program are educated within the guidelines of the Denturist’s scope of practice. This includes assessment, treatment planning, design, fabrication and maintenance of various dental prostheses and oral devices.

Students are educated within the guidelines of the Denturist’s scope of practice. This includes assessment, treatment planning, design, fabrication and maintenance of various dental prostheses and oral devices.

Pre-Health Science Program (A102) 2014 - 2015 Certificate Full Time

The Pre-Health Science program will prepare students to perform at a level that will assist them in gaining entry to a Health Sciences program at George Brown College, including Practical Nursing. It also gives students a basic understanding of social sciences and human relations, to help them relate to people at college in further studies and at work in health care institutions or with health care providers. Throughout this program, students study biology, chemistry and physics. Other courses include applied math, communications and computer literacy.

Pre-Health Science Program (A102) 2015 - 2016 Certificate Full Time

The Pre-Health Science program will prepare students to perform at a level that will assist them in gaining entry to a Health Sciences program at George Brown College, including Practical Nursing. Restorative Dental Hygiene (Postgraduate) Program (S400) 2015 - 2016 Post Graduate Full Time

Restorative Dental Hygiene is a two-semester program designed for the experienced dental hygienist. Students learn how to perform restorative procedures and preventive measures.

The restorative dental hygienist is an experienced graduate dental hygienist who performs restorative procedures in addition to preventive measures.
