Construction and Environment - Regulations & Compliance Program
in PDF* format (this
link opens a new window).
More than ever before, public concern for safety and the environment
is causing governments and regulatory bodies to take protective
measures, resulting in more laws and regulations and higher standards
being imposed on both the public and private sectors.
These changes
have increased demand for highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals
who can work within a wide range of industrial sectors including
engineering, environmental protection, waste management, building
and construction, and health and safety. This industry demand
is expected to continue to increase as new provincial building
codes
are phased in and public awareness of environmental issues continues
to grow.
