George Brown Dance is Ontario’s only College level full-time Dance Program. Operated through a partnership between George Brown College and Ballet Jörgen Canada, the programs offer professional level training in a dynamic and creative career-driven environment. There are over 100 dance companies in the greater Toronto area, performing on over 70 stages throughout the city. Ballet Jörgen Canada is one of the country's most innovative and prolific dance companies, recognized internationally for its entrepreneurial innovation, commitment to choreographic originality and artistic excellence. Since 1992, George Brown College and Ballet Jörgen Canada have enjoyed an unprecedented partnership in the form of George Brown Dance, a dance school offering professional training for students of ballet, jazz and modern dance.
George Brown Dance provides training that prepares students for a professional career in dance. Some of our recognized alumni include Neve Campbell, Kathleen Rea and Clea Iveson. Our high number of in-class studio training hours allows students to develop and hone technique and provides focus on individual needs and strengths. Acting and Vocal classes provide further opportunities to enhance skills and broaden horizons in terms of performance and employment. Successful completion of the Dance Performance
Preparation program will solidify and strengthen the students’ fundamental professional dance technique while developing skills in acting and vocal. This performance versatility and strong technique is needed to pursue opportunities in the dance industry and to continue studies in advanced programs.

Successful completion of the Dance Performance Studies  program will provide students with honed and strong professional level dance technique in ballet, jazz and modern. Combined with vocal, acting and business skills graduates will be highly employable across the spectrum in the performance industry finding work on cruise ships, in dance companies and independent dance projects, teaching in studios, creating at festivals, founding their own companies and more.

Completion of the Commercial Dance program, the first of its kind in Canada, will enable graduates to immediately pursue employment opportunities in film, television, music videos and touring, musical theatre, cruise ship, resort and industrial productions.
