1. Am I Eligible to Graduate?
Academic Eligibility: In order to graduate with the class of 2011, you must complete all your program requirements by the end of the Winter/11 semester. If you are completing your program requirements in the Spring/Summer/11 semester, you will not complete your program in time for this convocation. You will be graduating with the class of 2012.
If your winter semester program extends beyond the standard semester end date of April 21/11, and we are unable to determine your eligibility for this convocation; you may not be graduating with the class of 2011. Please check with your academic division office if you fall into this category.
Administrative Eligibility: All students are required to clear outstanding fees, fines, book & equipment loans before graduating. In order for us to process your information and deem you eligible to graduate with the class of 2011, your records must be in good standing no later than April 15, 2011. Please check STUVIEW if unsure if you have a hold that will prevent you from graduating.
2. Who is Eligible to Attend the 2011 Convocation Ceremonies?
Graduates from Post Secondary, Apprentice and selected Continuing Education programs, with completion dates in the Spring/10, Fall/10 and Winter/11 semesters (ending April 21, 2011).
3. Do I need to submit an Application to Graduate?
If you are a full time Post secondary or Apprentice student registered in the final semester of your program, you do not need to complete an application to graduate form.
If you are a fulltime student but you are registered in a semester other than the final semester, you must submit an application because we will not know that you are eligible to graduate.
Part time post secondary students must apply to graduate, as we will not be able to determine when you will complete your program.
4. Do I need to Reserve (RSVP) to Attend Convocation?
If you are planning to attend the convocation ceremony you must RSVP by May 9, 2011. This is applicable to all students (full-time & part-time) who plan to attend. Note: RSVP’s will not be accepted after May 9, 2011.
