Let your creativity flourish at Canada's epicentre of design, fashion, jewellery and performing arts. From our expert professors, you'll learn how to develop your own talents as well as how to break into demanding and rewarding fields.

Design
Toronto has Canada's largest concentration of design businesses and is one of North America's four top centres for design. The School of Design at George Brown College reflects this context by developing Design programs that foster excellence in design thinking, design culture and design business. Developed to focus imagination and hone critical thinking, our programs assist students in applying the latest technologies for a career in design. Our unique educational approach combines academic programs with authentic-task projects.

Fashion and Jewellery
Our Fashion and Jewellery Studies will take you into the real world of fashion and design techniques with expert faculty and modern facilities. Our Fashion programs will introduce you to the real world of fashion technology and design, marketing, merchandising, manufacturing and management. George Brown can help you build a portfolio and develop the practical skills that turn ideas into reality. Our Jewellery and Gemmology programs are some of the largest and best equipped in North America.

Performing Arts
With more than 180 theatre companies and 100 dance companies, Toronto is the world's third-largest English language theatre community and third in North America in film and television production. George Brown has earned a national reputation for training new actors and dancers.

Our partnerships with the acclaimed Soulpepper Theatre Company and Ballet Jörgen allow students to learn from professionals of the highest calibre. Our partnership with Soulpepper also means our theatre students will train at the new Young Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto's vibrant Distillery District.

"As a graduate of the Graphic Design program, I can attest to the value of the design education I received at George Brown College. The School of Design is connected to industry and has developed new courses and programs that integrate design and business. The vision for the future is innovative and exciting."
