The Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Management works with industry partners in the key sectors of accommodation, food and beverage, tourism services, and events and conferences to offer a range of programs that meet the high demand for skilled graduates.

New Bachelor's Degree Program!
The Hospitality Operations Management Bachelor's Degree is being offered jointly with Niagara College in a unique partnership between two of the country's leading hospitality and culinary educators beginning in September 2003. The four-year bachelor's degree program features training in all aspect of hospitality management with an applied, hands-on focus. The program will build on the individual resources, networks and infrastructures of the two colleges and reflect the economic strengths and profiles of their location in two of Canada's premier and strictly different hospitality regions.

Where Can This Take You?
With 32,000 hotel rooms alone in Toronto and more than 9,000 restaurants, bars and clubs, employment opportunities are abound. You can find employment in:

  • management or supervisory role in major resorts and hotels
  • operator/management of entertainment venues
  • banquet and catering management
  • club management
  • special events planner
  • supervisory role in health care facilities
  • coordinator in marketing or human resources

At the global level many other opportunities exist for students seeking to work in a different country. Career opportunities in the Hospitality and Tourism industry are endless and the skills you gain can take you anywhere in the world!
