The co-op program within
the Centre for Business offers you the valuable opportunity
to make successful
work terms a key part of your business education. Choose
the co-op option and you’ll experience first-hand how to apply
the knowledge you’ve gained in the classroom to real-life business
situations.

The combination of classroom learning
and practical on-the-job experience will enable you to
bolster your success in developing effective
résumés and landing interviews. Furthermore, the co-op experience
lets you research companies and figure out if the career
goals you have set yourself are the right ones.

Application Process
Advanced (3-year) Diploma students:
Choose the co-op option when enrolling in the first semester
of your program. The mandatory Coop Preparation Course
(COOP 1000) starts as early as the third (3rd) semester.
This course ensures you are provided with the training
and support needed to apply for coop positions in industry.
Two coop work terms are required in order to graduate
from a Coop Advanced Diploma. See the Coop

information regarding eligibility and fees for your program.
Post-graduate (12-month) Certificate students:
Coop is mandatory and the mandatory Coop Preparation Course (COOP 1000) is in
the first semester. This course ensures you are provided with the training and
support needed to apply for coop positions in industry. See the Coop

Bachelor of Applied Business (BAB) – Financial Services students:
1 Coop work term is mandatory for students in the BAB and there are two optional
work terms. The Coop Preparation Course (BCOP 1000) is mandatory and is in the
second semester. This course ensures you are provided with the training and support
needed to apply for coop positions in industry. See the Coop
