All individual sessions with the Career Services Liaison are one-on-one.
A process that involves evaluating an individual’s skills and abilities, personal style, values and interests to inform decisions about which educational or career directions to take. This process may require use of career assessment tools.
A process to help an individual achieve more in their career. It involves managing one’s career either within or between organizations. It might also include learning new skills, both hard and soft.
Job Search Strategies:
These sessions help individuals consider and develop different ways to look for work and approach employers. Usually involves ways to research companies within a particular industry to gather pertinent information needed to begin to connect with employers. Create an action plan that details steps that the individual needs to take to meet employment goal.
Review individual résumés for overall look and content and make suggested changes to better market to employers.
Provide an overview of the interviewing process and some of the key questions most likely asked in an interview and how best to answer. Conduct a “mock interview” and offer feedback.
