Renovate
Your Neighbourhood: Institute without Boundaries Addresses 'Inner-Suburb' Challenges, June 5 to July 26, 2009 |
Can strip malls be converted into mixed-use neighbourhood centres? Can
we create affordable housing without creating ghettos? Can communities take ownership of public spaces? Can we renovate the suburbs
and create a new sustainable city?
The answers can be found in an exhibition created by students and faculty at the Institute without Boundaries
(IwB) at George Brown College, on display at the School of Design from June 5 to July 26.
Come to the table.
The students at the Institute without Boundaries have prepared a menu of options for neighbourhood renovations.
Sit down, stay a while.
Explore 12 projects to rejuvenate housing, parks, schools and malls in the inner-suburbs of Toronto. Learn about
Renovate Your Neighbourhood, a proposal created by IwB for Habitat for Humanity Canada and Evergreen.
Engage in the discussion.
How can we build communities that promote healthy living and nature, affordability, diversity and involvement? How would
you change your neighbourhood?
Party with us.
It’s the end of the year!

- Are you interested in meeting other health sciences students from across Canada?

Formed in January 2005, the National Health Sciences Students' Association (NaHSSA) is the first and only national
