School Gingerbread competition
On December 10, Chef
School held its first Gingerbread Competition where
24 eye-pleasing masterpieces were put on display for George
Brown College faculty, staff and students to enjoy. Each
contestant put a new and interesting spin on the traditional
gingerbread house with elaborate designs, intricate details

'straight from the heart' Art created by Latin America's poorest
children, December 1st through 5th.

In a celebration of life and hope, Ryerson
University, George Brown College and Pueblito (Little Village),
a Canadian Early Childhood Development Agency working in Latin
America and based in Toronto, are pleased to announce that the
public art exhibit of ¡ART WORKS! will be on display
at the Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre from December 1st through

annual Christmas Jewellery Sale held at Casa Loma campus on Nov.

October 29th Cindy and Dominique Duby will be here to conduct
a one day "pro dev" course for students and Industry
on pairing desserts and wine.
Cindy and Dominique have many books, videos and are known in Patisserie circles
as "Pastry Team Canada". They represent Canada at every major Baking/Patisserie
competition in the world, yet they always make time to come to GBC and conduct
workshops with the students, or even just to talk to students about the current
world trends in Patisserie. [Read

Each
year, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism hosts the annual Ready,
Set, Cook and Win competition where over 100 high
school students from around Ontario compete for over $20,000
in scholarships to the award-winning centre for culinary arts.

to Jamaica" dinner at Seigfreids on the St. James

the Premier Dance Theatre on July 23, 2003, George Brown and Soulpepper
Theatre Company announced a joint venture to develop a 44,000 square-foot,
multi-disciplinary performing arts, training, and youth outreach centre in
the Gooderham and Worts Distillery District. Planned for completion by spring
2005, the new complex will provide a permanent home for Soulpepper and the
celebrated George Brown College theatre arts program. [Read
