OUR PROGRAM
People will go a long way for great food. Culinary tourism is an exploding industry that needs people who can create exciting and fulfilling experiences for food-lovers who enjoy travel. If you’re already working in the field of hospitality and tourism, learning about culinary tourism is the perfect way to take your career to the next level.
Through this completely online program – the first of its kind in Canada – you will learn to understand the deep relationship between food and travel. You will examine regions that have turned themselves into successful culinary tourism destinations and discover the world of:
- restaurants that showcase regional cuisine
- taste trails and tasting events
- food festivals and farmers’ markets
Studying popular destinations for culinary tourists in Ontario, across Canada and around the world will reveal how to find rural and urban destinations and package them to provide memorable and authentic experiences. And if you’re already working in a tourism community, you’ll learn how to attract more people and enhance your region’s profile with travellers.
