Student success in college requires well developed learning skills and attitudes (such as being able to work independently,
participate in a team, be well-organised, develop good work habits, and show initiative). These skills are as important as prior academic
achievement. Applicants should have thoroughly developed these skills and attitudes before beginning their college programs.

FAST-TRACK TO A GREAT CAREER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
The field of international trade can seem as large and complex as the world itself. Encompassing disciplines such as strategic planning,
law, finance, logistics and marketing, attaining a mastery of global trade can seem a daunting challenge. The International Business Management
postgraduate program at George Brown College simplifies the complex field of international business with dynamic and interactive teaching
methods, including case analysis and guest speakers.
The International Business Management post-graduate program can also prepare students to pursue three industry designations / certificates
in addition to the George Brown College Graduate Certificate if they choose to do so. These industry designations / certificates require
additional exams and/or related work experience to qualify. Please check out their official websites listed below to find out the detailed
requirements set by the granting bodies of these designations / certifications.
The three industry designations/certifications include:
- Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P. designation offered by FITT)
Accredited Partnership with FITT
George Brown College has
partnered with FITT to offer the FITTskills program. FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) is an international trade training and
professional certification body. As the only organization of its kind in the world, FITT sets the standards and designs the training programs
leading to the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation. FITT´s quality training programs impart knowledge and
practical skills that provide a competitive advantage to trade practitioners and elevate their position in world markets.
FITTskills Program
FITTskills is a highly practical, hands-on series of courses that focus on the fundamental aspects of international business. Students may
register for these courses as part of our B411 – International Business Management program. Upon
successful completion of eight (8) FITT skills accredited courses (equivalency
course chart - pdf*) students will be able to transfer their
courses to FITT ($75.00*) and will be sent a FITT transcript. They are then eligible to write the Professional
