Student success in college requires well developed learning skills and attitudes (such as being able to work independently, participate in a team, be well-organised, develop good work habits, and show initiative). THE PATH TO A GREAT CAREER IN MARKETING STARTS AT GEORGE BROWN COLLEGE

This marketing program at George Brown College will open doors to opportunities in the exciting and fast-moving field of business, specifically consumer product and service marketing. Students will gain an understanding of the core concepts of marketing through lectures, case studies, group interaction and marketing situations. In this program you will learn how to:

  1. Use the building blocks of a marketing plan by analyzing the market, your competitors and your customers.
  2. Design a marketing research program and understand the elements of effective research.
  3. Identify and develop various marketing communications elements available to a company including sales promotion, direct marketing, public relations, television, radio and web-based solutions.
  4. Devise a winning integrated marketing communications plan.
  5. Combine all of your learning to develop effective marketing solutions to business problems.

Imbedded in all of the above will be the development of communication, presentation, analytical and team-building skills.
