Instructions:

Description  

FAST-TRACK TO OWNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Looking to launch your own small business or grow your current one? George Brown proposes the perfect plan. In just eight months, our Small Business Entrepreneurship program will provide you with the skills, knowledge and support to design a full business plan that includes marketing, financing, e-business, accounting and web strategy.

Students may also have the option of presenting their finished business plans to the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (cybf.ca) to be considered for a loan of up to $15,000 and a mentor for two years.

Upon successful completion of this program, you will have:

  • Completed a full business plan for your proposed business
  • Completed a draft set-up of your business book using industry software such as Quickbooks
  • Identified sources of funding
  • Completed a marketing plan
  • Prepared a website

Program Standards and Learning Outcomes  

The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has established Program Descriptions for college programs of instruction which do not operate under a specific provincial Program Standard. The Program Description typically describes the program purpose (a brief description of the program, potential employment opportunities and general admission requirements) and program goals (similar to program-level learning outcomes, which guide the curriculum).

There are many pathways into the Small Business Entrepreneurship Graduate Certificate B410 program including work, college programs and university programs. After graduating from the program, students can begin their career.

How to Qualify and Apply

Admission Requirements  

  • College Advanced Diploma (3-year)or University Degree or demonstrated experience.

English Proficiency

Applicants with international transcripts where English proficiency results are not supplied must test at the College level in the George Brown College English admissions assessment to be considered.
