Professor, Denturism
George Brown College is seeking applications for part time/sessional Professor, Denturism in the day programs. The Professor is responsible for providing academic leadership and supporting an effective learning environment for students through teaching and supervising students in a clinical setting.
The successful candidate must be a Licensed Denturist within the province of Ontario, with a minimum of five years experience as a practicing denturist. A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in an educational setting involving curriculum development, clinical and lab demonstrations and clinical skill evaluations.
Excellent communication and human relations skills and a commitment to diversity and equity are essential to interact effectively with the College’s diverse student and staff population. The ability to convey the conceptual and practical aspects of subjects to students, respecting their diverse backgrounds, experience and individual learning styles is also essential, as is the desire to contribute to the education of the next generation of students in the Denturism program. Candidates must also be committed to working within a team environment and to participating in a consultative decision-making process.

School of Computer Technology
The School of Computer Technology is seeking qualified candidates for Part time/Sessional teaching assignments in the following areas with the following credentials:
CCNA curriculum: Applicants should be certified by Cisco to teach CCNA curriculum. Knowledge of NetLab is an asset.
Data Communications: Teaching in the 2-year technician and 3-year technologist programs, applicants must have a minimum of two years work experience in the field. Knowledge of LabView is an asset.
Information Systems Security: Teaching in the 2-year technician and 3-year technologist programs, applicants must have a minimum of two years work experience in the field, be currently CCNA Security certified and preferably have a CCAI designation.
Advanced Data Communications: Applicants should have at least three years of work experience with a carrier or ISP and be CCNP certified or be working on his/her CCNP certification and have successfully passed the CCNP ROUTE exam. Preference will be given to applicants that also have a CCAI designation.
Advanced Network Management: Applicants for this position must have at least two years’ work experience in a NOC, and have deployed or be working with the deployment of an advanced network management application. Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with or have been trained in CA Unicenter.
Wireless Networking: The preferred applicant will have two to three years’ work experience deploying and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks including IEEE 802.11n and have a valid CWNA certification. A working knowledge of Aruba, Cisco and Motorola (WiNG 5) Wi-Fi equipment is also required.
VoIP: Preference will be given to applicants that have at least two years of experience deploying Cisco VoIP equipment and/or are CCNA VoIP certified.
The successful applicant/s will be expected to develop, evaluate, revise and deliver academic curriculum cooperatively with other professors. Applicant/s will be expected to make use of educational technology in course delivery and services, to promote student success initiatives and to work with program areas of the College. In addition to the qualifications listed above, preference will be given to applicants that have at least two years teaching experience.

Professor, Hearing Instrument Specialist Program
The Professor is responsible for providing academic leadership and supporting an effective learning environment for students. The successful candidate for the Professor, Hearing Instrument Specialist Program must be a Hearing Instrument Specialist who is registered with the Ministry of Health/Assistive Devices Program and in good standing with their governing body; and have a minimum of 5 years experience as a practicing Hearing Instrument Specialist. Post-secondary teaching experience in an educational setting involving curriculum development, clinical and lab demonstrations and clinical skill evaluations is preferred. The successful candidate should expect to have direct involvement in the development and delivery of interprofessional education as this is a strategic imperative at George Brown College.
The successful candidate will also assist in the coordination of timetables, collection of marks, and other duties as assigned. Professors are also responsible for meeting all health and safety and infection control procedures and standards. Candidates must also be committed to working within a team environment and to participating in a consultative decision-making process.
